Thanks Tamara for sharing a real world example of this concept in action. Not saying it is easy but definitely worth taking a pause and thinking it through. Appreciate the honesty...

I so desperately wanted to land my first client last month I almost trapped myself into a corner by saying “yes” to a feature I didn’t want to offer. I really did feel like I was losing a prospect if I told them no.

Thankfully I had a mentor stop me and ask- “why isn’t the current feature working?” and concentrate on resolving that instead of adding additional work load adding a service I didn’t even want to provide.

I was able to save so much time and work for myself by fleshing out my current feature instead of trying to add something before I was ready.

Love the reminder to say “no” when it doesn’t suit your vision.

Love this one! So many entrepreneurs with so many big ideas struggle to focus. Great insight, Todd!

Thanks, Todd.

More and more I am wondering about the rightful place of intuition for Entrpreneurs. I don't think many doubt that it is operative, but where do we go to learn how to nurture this voice inside our heads". Perhaps every Entrepreneur is gifted with a Muse, like Artists.

I would like to see this becoming a regular part of Entrep conversations... "What's your intuition telling you?"..... "What's your Muse saying?"

Maybe as a thought-link, philosopher Julian Baggini digs into this a bit with his recent-ish post "Always Be In Two Minds" https://www.linkedin.com/posts/marc-fx-johnson_entrepreneurship-activity-7246415003342295040-fI4h/

The majority of the time it's probably fairly easy to see when saying NO is the right thing to do.

But I'm sure there are key times in the Entrep Journey when an Entrep followed her/his intuition / Muse and against all evidence said YES, instead of NO
